Anthony is a lighting designer and educator from Ngunnawal and Ngambri Country, Australia. He has worked as a lighting designer for theatre, opera, and dance, in the UK, Australia and internationally. Anthony is currently based in London.
While completing a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws from the Australian National University, Anthony worked as a lighting designer and technical manager in Australia. He was the co-founder of Crack Theatre Festival (Newcastle, Australia) and You Are Here festival (Ngunnawal and Ngambri Country).
In 2011, Anthony moved to the UK to undertake the postgraduate lighting design program at RADA. Following his graduation, he was Associate to Ben Ormerod, working on theatre, contemporary dance and opera in the UK, West End, Europe, Canada and the USA. While working with Ben, Anthony continued to work as a lighting designer in the UK and Australia.
Anthony's lighting design portfolio includes productions for The Royal Court (London), The Barbican, Battersea Arts Centre, Trinity Laban, and Canberra Theatre Centre. Anthony is particularly passionate about new writing, but loves storytelling in all its forms.
In addition to his freelance career, Anthony is the Deputy Head of Lighting at RADA, where he teaches lighting design, production electrics, and lighting programming on the academy's practice-led courses. As a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Anthony is committed to nurturing the next generation of talented artists and theatre practitioners.
